Description
This CD contains two electronic books (EBooks) in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format:
- Case Studies in Schizophrenia by David McMillin, M.A.
-
- An alternative approach to the physical and spiritual causes of schizophrenia, this nontechnical overview is especially suited for those diagnosed with the disorder, members of theirfamilies, and caregivers. The book examines current scientific understanding of the biopsychology of schizophrenia and correlates it with the insights found in specific cases in the Edgar Cayce material.
Initially, the author explores factors of stress, genetics, birth trauma, and injuries to the brain and spine. Then, he uniquely considers the influences of kundalini energy, the reincarnation and karma of the soul, and other spiritual factors in understanding this most difficult disorder.

- The Treatment of Schizophrenia: A Holistic Approach by David McMillin, M.A.
-
- A companion volume to Case Studies in Schizophrenia, this book presents a more academic and technical view of this disorder for mental health professionals and other individuals interested in an alternative approach.
In terms of treatment, the Edgar Cayce discourses address the total picture of the individual suffering from schizophrenia the clinical arena, the struggles of affected families, and the meaning of debilitating mental illnesses. Suggestions for treatment are accompanied by case study summaries. The book also includes a model for therapy and detailed examinations of the principles and techniques discussed in the Cayce material.
