Description
This CD contains two electronic books (EBooks) in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format:
- Case Studies in Depression by David McMillin, M.A.
-
- Edgar Cayce gave over one hundred discourses which addressed the causes of depression, recommending relatively simple, natural therapies to treat it. Based on the use of holism and clinical applications suggested in the Edgar Cayce material, this introductory volume explores the causes of depression and the roles of attitude and the spiritual life in its treatment.
This book also includes valuable information on the power the mind in conquering depression, how to deal with life's disappointments and traumas, and contains special chapters on "Bipolar Disorder" and "Transpersonal Aspects of Depression" (past lives and astrological influences).

- The Treatment of Depression: A Holistic Approach by David McMillin, M.A.
-
- A companion volume to Case Studies in Depression, this book emphasizes the various ways by which the Edgar Cayce discourses suggested treatments for persons suffering from depression.
Especially recommended for the professional practitioner, the volume begins by correlating the discourses with pertinent psychological and psychiatric literature. It also provides a therapeutic model for the treatment of individuals who suffer from depression.
The book emphasizes the principles and techniques for treatment, and also contains a special appendix on dealing effectively with persons suffering from suicidal tendencies. The companion volume, Case Studies in Depression, presents a nontechnical discussion of depression for the layperson.
