Description
This CD contains two electronic books (EBooks) in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format:
- Alzheimer's Disease and the Dementias: An Alternative Perspective by David McMillin, M.A.
-
- This book is an introduction to the dementias which affect the aged and the aging. Based on the Edgar Cayce readings, it explains and defines the various aspects of dementia and includes references to all of the discourses that mention such disorders.
Directed primarily to the families and support persons dealing with such illnesses, it is nontechnical and seeks to make the Cayce material accessible to those interested in alternatives to traditional medicine. While the book does not offer a cure, it reveals the possibilities contained in the Cayce material for those who are interested in alternatives for the relief of symptoms and the delay of degeneration. The book also contains suggestions for prevention and demographic statistics on the increasing presence of these disorders in our population.

- Principles and Techniques of Nerve Regeneration (Alzheimer's Disease and the Dementias) by David McMillin, M.A.
-
- While medical science is only just beginning to research the possibility of nerve regeneration, the Cayce discourses advise that nerve tissue can be rebuilt through the use of electrotherapy and by careful monitoring of the vegetative processes of assimilation, elimination, and circulation.
A companion book to Alzheimer's Disease and the Dementias: An Alternative Perspective, this book focuses on techniques for rebuilding the biological damage of the nervous system caused by these disorders, through the application of the treatments suggested in the Edgar Cayce material.
Especially suited for health care professionals interested in assisting in the treatment of dementia from the Cayce perspective, the book outlines the uses of osteopathy, massage, and lymphatic drainage, and provides a specific model for treatment for caregivers and practitioners.
